Description

The objective of the project is to promote adaptation to climate change and disaster risk prevention, as well as resilience, taking into account ecosystem-based approaches. The project focuses on a complex problem such as forest fires from a territorial, social and operational perspective. FIREPOCTEP+ provides continuity to the FIREPOCTEP project (0756_FIREPOCTEP_6_E), Interreg POCTEP “Strengthening cross-border systems for the prevention and extinction of forest fires and improving resources for the generation of post-Covid-19 rural employment”, in which the Pilot Areas are expanded (AP) so that they are all cross-border and all actions and activities will be structured around them.

EnergyLab's Tasks

EnergyLab performs the following tasks:

  • Obtaining an early warning system using artificial intelligence algorithms.
  • Implementation of an early warning visualization system.
  • Improvement of the tool for predicting the evolution of active fires developed during the FIREPOCTEP project.
  • Development of a training course for personnel in charge of decision-making during fire extinguishing on the active fire simulation tool.
