Description: The project will advance excellence in research on sensors technologies and digital solutions and support the digitalization of hydropower towards more efficient, more sustainable and more competitive hydropower plants in modern power markets. To this end, D-HYDROFLEX develops a toolkit of digital tools for digitally ‘renovating’ the existing hydroelectric power plants by developing technologies based on sensors, digital twins, AI algorithms, hybridization modelling (power-to-hydrogen), cloud-edge computing and image processing.

Description: The aim of ESI Europe is to replicate the successful Energy Savings Insurance (ESI) model in the three highest potential countries in Europe: Italy, Portugal and Spain, train key market stakeholders, and deliver an ESI Europe Toolkit alongside a longterm business model to enable the broader roll out of the ESI Europe model in other European countries. The ESI model, consists of financial and non-financial mechanisms designed to work together to improve the risk-return profile of EE investments and overcome the associated barriers. As a result of the project, GoSafe with ESI is developed, an integral solution, which guarantees the energy savings committed in the project, in such a way to minimize the risks of investments in energy efficiency and provide security, trust and credibility to companies.

Description: The aim ofthis joint research unit is to increase the knowledge on biomethane (renewable gas) production processes in the sector of urban and food industries WWTP. In this way, the Mixed Unit will allow the implementation of the concepts of bioeconomy and circular economy in the most important Galician waste management sectors, turning Galicia into a reference European region as far as production, optimisation, methanisation and renewable natural gas application as energy resource are concerned.

In addition, it is intended to determine which are the most appropriate conditions for the degradation of these plastics at an industrial level, in waste treatment plants that include aerobic or anaerobic processes.

Description: The aim of this project is to get a simple and low-cost solution with which the farmers can reduce the ammonia emissions and the environmental impact associated to their work activity. On the one hand, it seeks to reduce the concentration of ammonia applied to the field through the implementation of an artificial wetland system that treats the liquid fraction of manure. On the other hand, the reduction of nitrogen emissions to the field will be carried out thanks to a novel equipment that can be installed in tankers.
