EVO Certification

The Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO) is an international non-profit organisation which offers products and services which help to:

  • Measure and verify energy and water savings in energy efficiency projects.
  • Manage the financial risks of energy savings contracts.
  • Quantify the carbon emission reduction in energy efficiency projects.
  • Promote sustainable building or the improvement of efficiency in existing systems by an accurate and effective methodology to identify energy and water savings.

At the beginning of 90s, the standardisation of measurement and verification of energy efficiency was developed to help project creators, owners and funders. Today, the International Performance Measurement & Verification Protocol® (IPMVP®), patented by EVO, is the international leader of measurement and verification protocols (M&V). The IPMVP® has been translated into 10 languages and is used in more than 40 countries. Nowadays, is usually mentioned by federal and state uses as well as by other measurement and verification protocols.

The Association of Energy Engineers (AEE), in conjunction with the Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO®), established the Certified Measurement and Verification Professional (CMVP) program with the dual purpose of recognizing the most qualified professionals in this growing area of the energy industry, and raising the overall professional standards within the measurement and verification field.

Association of Energy Engineers (AEE) is the exclusive global certifying body for the CMVP Certification and owns the CMVP Certification as well as the CMVP® and Certified Measurement and Verification Professional® trademarks.

Efficiency Valuation Organization (EVO) is the exclusive global training body for the CMVP and owns the International Performance Measurement and Verification Protocol (“IPMVP”) copyright, the IPMVP® trademark, and the EVO training material used in conjunction with the CMVP examination.
