Description

The main’s project aim is to promote the efficient use and management of solid biomass and its thermal energy recovery in the rural and urban-marginal Ibero-American. This will be achieved through the construction of a network and virtual platform that relieves, shares, discusses, agrees and makes available to the Region the fundamental technological advances that could contribute to the synergic construction of more sustainable and resilient against climate change communities and territories.

EnergyLab's Tasks

EnergyLab will be involved in the following tasks:

  • Management of information and knowledge generated: the center helps with its knowledge in the contribution of resources, technologies and participation and transfer mechanisms.
  • Sharing and mutual learning with the rest of the project groups. To this, two fundamental subtasks are integrated in this block:
  • Identify the state of the art technologies for the use of biomass and rural bioenergy and possible points of improvement for the implementation of new bioenergetic systems.
  • Capitalize on the strengths of the different groups to enhance synergies by systematizing, exchanging and disseminating scientific-technical advances, experiences, academic offerings, internships, projects, available infrastructure and other resources.
  • Joint production of knowledge. The expected development of the network is:
  • Build a Good Practices Briefcase (BP), with the identification of the technological contributions of product, process and organization that constitute engines of production of sustainable bioenergy systems in the rural and urban-marginal Ibero-American environment.
  • Detect the needs of future research in order to propose joint projects that allow the continuity of the work started.
