Project Name: POLYBRIS. Recovery of plastic waste present in marine litter for its valorization in products that contribute to the ecological balance of the marine environment through circular alternatives with a local participatory approach.

Dossier Number: 2024/470

Programme: This project is being developed in collaboration with the Fundación Biodiversidad of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, through the Pleamar Programme, and is co-financed by the European Union through the EMFAF (European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund).

Budget Allocation: 159,514.12 €

Duration: 2024-2026

Objetive: Promote the sustainability of the marine environment and participation in circular alternatives based on the implementation of optimized thermochemical recovery processes of plastic waste present in marine litter thanks to its transformation into value-added products that enable the selective capture of organic and inorganic pollutants present in waters and other effluents from maritime-fishing environments that will help reduce the negative impacts on aquatic ecosystems, and contribute to their good environmental status.
